Donations

We at Project Mala Charitable Trust appreciate your generous support. We understand that mistakes can happen, and there may be circumstances where you require a refund for your donation.

Charity Law Restrictions

U.K. charity law restricts our ability to refund donations. We can only offer refunds in certain situations. These situations may include:

  • Errors in your donation amount: If you accidentally donated an incorrect amount, we will do our best to process a full refund.
  • Duplicate donations: If you unknowingly made the same donation twice, we can refund the duplicate amount.
  • Incorrect payment method: If you intended to donate via a different method but used the wrong option, we can facilitate a refund and help you donate using your preferred method.
  • Cancellation within the cooling-off period: For donations exceeding £100 made by credit or debit card, you may be entitled to a refund under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2014 within 14 days of making the donation.

Charity Law Restrictions

Generally, donations are not refundable if:

  • The donation was made intentionally and you have changed your mind.
  • The donation was made to support a specific event or project.
  • The donation was made through a fundraising event registration fee (e.g., charity run).

If you believe you are eligible for a refund, please contact us We will ask you for some details about your donation and may require supporting documentation. We will review your request and respond to you within 5 business days.

A class Ambassador will be allocated to you who, together with the Sponsorship Secretary in India will co-ordinate the flow of information to you.

Please Note

  • Refunds can only be issued to the original payment method used for the donation.
  • We may seek advice from the Charity Commission to determine if a refund is authorized, depending on the circumstances.
